The Telesis Chapter of the National Honor Society is conducting a food and toy drive for the holidays. Members of the Telesis NHS are accepting donations of non-perishable food and unwrapped new toys for needy families this holiday season. Donations can be dropped off at the Telesis Office or at the Aquatic Center. The Honor Society will help needy Telesis Families and then donate the remainder of their collection to the Havasu Interagency Organization. Please help us make this Holiday Season brighter for those less fortunate. Thank you.

TELESIS GREEN TEAM RECEIVES GRANT
The Telesis Green Team has received a $200.00 grant from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality. Only 18 grants were given to Arizona High Schools to promote recycling and support club activities. The Green Team will report to the AQED on their recycling efforts at the end of the school year. Hopefully, the money will help students make recycling a part of their daily life at school. This is the first year the AQED had awarded the grants. Join our effort to recycle.

Character is What You Do When No One is Watching
This is the most refreshing sports story I have ever read. Whatever your sport of choice and passion, this story should be read by you. It happened to occur in the sport of golf, but is applicable to every sport and, even more importantly, to every aspect of life. It has been said that character is what you do when no one is watching. Please go to this website and read the article about the recent decision of golfer J.P.Hayes, then click on the LISTEN link on the website in the box with J.P.'s photograph to hear a radio broadcast where radio personalities compare J.P.'s decision to other sports and practices of integrity and honesty.

A BIG THANK YOU!
The Telesis Book Fair Committee would like to thank all students and parents who came out last Thursday to support our Fall Book Fair. Telesis was able to spend just over a $1,ooo for new library and classroom books. Just think what we could do if more students and parents showed up.
The National Junior Honor Society was able to collect about 40 to 50 more library books. This effort will continue and those who would still like to donate can do so by dropping their read books to the Office.
Thank you. Thank you.
