Telesis Using New Google Docs Features
In January, we added the ability to upload and store any file in Google Docs, and in response to your feedback, we increased the maximum file size to 1 GB a couple weeks later. Based on the overwhelming response to this feature, we're happy to announce a big update. Starting today, you can upload and store anything in Google Docs. With this change, you'll be able to store items in the cloud and access them from any computer - all you need is an Internet connection and a Google Account.
As with documents, spreadsheets, and files, you also share objects you've uploaded to Google Docs with anyone in the world. For example, do you ever wish you could CTRL+F your house keys or your TV remote? Store your keys, remotes, rail passes, and other objects you commonly lose with Google Docs, and you'll never have to worry about finding them again. Having trouble moving your piano from New York to California? Upload it from your home in New York, then download it once you're in California. Change your mind and want to share it with your friend in England instead? No problem. With one click you can have your piano delivered to anyone you choose, anywhere in the world.
With simple pricing at $0.10 per kg, along with free pickup and delivery from any location on the planet, it’s hard to pass up. To learn more about this new feature and how to join the beta test, head to our informational site. As always let us know what you think on the forums.

PWC Off and Rolling
Sixteen parents and teachers gathered Thursday evening, October 29th, for the first one of the school year PWC (Parents Who Care) meeting! In my opinion, it was the best one yet. Most everyone in the room offered great ideas for promoting Telesis in so many different ways to the community, potential Telesis parents, and correcting those annoying myths that continue to circulate around town. They set some lofty, but attainable, goals and plan to meet again next week to check their progress. In addition, it is comforting to note that it was parents who stepped up to do the extra work, not teachers. It was a great evening and I believe one that will be remembered as a hallmark to new growth for Telesis. Thanks to the Telesis Team Members who were there to lend lots of support.

MCC TO GIVE COMPASS TEST ON CAMPUS
MCC will be on our campus on Tuesday, October 13th to give all Seniors the Compass Test used for placement of students into their college courses. All Seniors are encouraged to participate as this is a free service offered to Telesis. The testing will begin a 1:00 and generally takes 2 hours to complete. All students need to make the necessary schedule adjustments to insure that they do not miss this opportunity. Even if you are not planning for college right now, this is something all Seniors are advised to do.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
This week is the first Parent/Teacher Conference for the 2009-2010 school year. If you have not signed up for a conference with your student's teacher(s) please do so as soon as possible. Conferences will be held Tuesday, September 21st thru Thursday, September 24th in the afternoons. It is important that you are involved in your child's education and conferences are a good way to do just that. It is also good for the student to be present at these conferences. We look forward to see you there.
